    What Makes a Good Local Landing Page?

    A local landing page has two jobs: convince Google you are relevant to the area, and convince the visitor to call you. Here is how to do both.

    If you want to rank for a specific service in a specific city, you usually need a dedicated page for it. You cannot expect a generic "Services" page to rank for "commercial roof repair Santa Clarita."

    A strong local landing page bridges the gap between what the user searched for and the solution your business provides.

    Content That Connects

    Google needs text to understand what the page is about. But users don't want to read a textbook. The balance is creating scannable, informative content.

    • Clear Headings: Use your H1 and H2 tags to clearly state the service and the location.
    • Explain the Problem: Show the user you understand their specific pain point before pitching your solution.
    • Details Matter: Mention specific neighborhoods, local landmarks, or common local issues (e.g., hard water problems specific to Santa Clarita).
